Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, announced a request for cooperation to WFH on 20-21 Jan due to the tendency of the weather to be overcast and the PM2.5 dust value tends to increase. This is to reduce the use of cars on the road, which is found to be a source of pollution and dust in Bangkok. Previously, Mr. Chadchart in the middle of last week held a meeting to raise the level of PM2.5 control to orange and red levels in some areas, stating that he would adjust the WFH criteria without waiting for PM2.5 dust to reach red levels.
